This page contains useful information for training ministers, supervisors and placement supervisors
The Church of England uses a set of Formation Qualities to assess a candidate’s suitablity for ordained or licensed minitry. These are Love for God, Call to Ministry, Love for People, Wisdom, Fruitfulness, Potential and Trustworthiness. These qualities are explored in the context of a candidate’s relationship to Christ, the Church, the World and the Self. Our reports to sponsoring bishops use these qualites, and we ask training ministers and supervisors to use the same framework. You can find the quality grids for the different minsitries explained and with examples here:
- LLM/Reader qualities and evidence
- Ministry with Children, Young People and Families Formation Framework
- IME1 Priest qualities and evidence
- IME1 Priest PIONEER qualities and evidence
- IME1 Distinctive Deacon qualities and evidence
