Announcement of the death of Charles Parsons

A message from Charles Read, our Director of Liturgy, about the sad news.

“I am very sorry to have to let everyone know of the death of Charles Parsons. Charles was a Reader / LLM at Cringleford in Norwich diocese and will be known to a very large number of people in ERMC as he was a member of the ministry training team in Norwich diocese and taught on residential weekends as well as at evening classes in Norwich for a considerable number of years.

In recent years Charles had stop teaching due to ill health but continued to offer support to students who needed help with study skills, especially if they were coming to academic study for the first time. He was a particular help to students who found coming to academic study challenging and gave unstintingly of his time in supporting them. Charles had been ill for some years, especially with Parkinson’s disease, and died in the Norfolk and Norwich hospital on Sunday 14th of August after a series of heart attacks. A further tribute to his life and details of the funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.

Please remember in your prayers especially his brother Richard with whom he shared a house.”
